A first submission from someone with no background in design. I thought this up and made it happen (very slowly) in Freehand. On a girl the pill bug ought to be rolling down her right breast. No such luck with the lads, I\'m afraid. I liked khaki best, but it could go on any colour. All suggestions welcomed.

The antennae on this pill bug remind me of Salvador Dali's moustache. Looks like a determined little guy.

An armadillo would have been cuter I guess, but I've never seen one anywhere other than dead at the side of the road in the US. We used to play with pill bugs in Toronto all the time, which is why I thought of this. Wouldn't it be cool if they curled up to zip down hills?

i like the idea, but the t shirt needs to be a different color....the khaki just kinda....is ick... (with a grey pill bug)
i really do like the design though. it's original, and that counts for a lot.
suggestions for tshirt colors? i'm thinking either green or black, or maybe purple. hehe.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I originally tried this on kelly green, but I personally prefer muted colours and liked the sagestone better. It wasn't until after I submitted that I clued in about layers in Photoshop (these software suites are pretty new to me), but you can see it against some more colour options here:

I agree that the pink probably would work the best because it brings out the colors in the pillbug....but remind me again why I want bugs rolling down my breast? 0_o

As a girl I like any shirt that is designed to recognize the fact that I have breasts, and that treats them playfully. To me it seemed like natural topography for a pill bug to roll down, but I might be fonder of bugs than most.

I really like the rollie pollies on the shirt idea but I feel there must be a better way to show it doing its thing. I guess that doesnt help much.

I'm amused by your description of breasts as topography, but the design is a bit large for me to like. maybe a dotted line and smaller bugs, perhaps two inbetween the curled up stage (half-curled?)

bringing the outer bugs closer to the inner bugs is a good thing

I'm with missingno. the round one is strong enough on its own, and is weakened by the other ones in the composition.

I'm just not convinced it will actually look like he's rolling down the right breast... and I especially recognize that boobs come in all shapes and sizes, so it will likely only work on certain girls anyways.

I think that mossingo might be onto something as well, though I'm not sure what I can do to add more interest to a new design. I will definitely think about it. I have another insect idea in the wings, so it may have to wait until I'm finished with that (which will take a LONG time. These design programs have a serious learning curve).

I love it, especially how you get the impression that he's a slow little guy moving along and then goes for a ride and then turns back into a normal docile bug. And the breast thing is funny I think, but I guess not for everyone. Either way, I'm saying 5.

I love it! What an adorable idea! I wonder if it could also be put on other clothing items, such as on underwear (for those with round bottoms, and also for, umm....guys - I bet guys would LOVE that on boxers!).
