It is a cool design, and it wouild be better centered, but I do not get the connection... The combination of the two images (da vinci man and the turntable) is rather random. 4

Maybe you are a genius and you are a DJ... or maybe you just thought it might look cool and you would let people try to put their own random meaning to it.

Leo is my hero.

Great Design! Well thought out and balanced. Although I think I agree with makruege above, that centering it, would be best. Like the message behind it. Not my style but the art is on point. 4

i actually had the same feeling once i saw it online. one of those things that seemed like a good idea at the time (the time being 6 a.m.)

my concept behind it was technology and art. leo was a genius that merged the two fields, and today there are prodigies in the worlds of music (represented by the turntables) and computers (represented by the power button, cumputer chips, etc) that do the same thing.

or something.

LOVE the design, but I agree that it needs to be centered and large. its so wonderfully detailed it needs to be showcased in the center, and not moved to the bottom corner. Otherwise, really really nice!

Great concept. da vinci was the man!

i dig the placement. everyone always tells us designers to center our work, but that's really the opposite of good design. too boring. we need many more tshirts with off-centered placements. so many people talk about originality on this site but then want everything to look the same. hypocrisy!

it's fine as is.

Kfizzle...
You have to look at the media. By media, I am not talking about the ink, rather the shirt. These are not pieces to be hung on a wall. They are seen on a flowing piece of fabric that moves as we move and become obstructed by our arms, jackets, things we carry, etc.

If you want to showcase your design, you have to understand that the Chest and the back are framed by your shoulders and arms and are least obstructed to the viewer.

Only with a few rare exceptions will a non centered piece of art work actually work on a tee shirt

Thinking outsde the box and being different does not necessarily make it correct.

thanks for the insight Mak. I definately conceed your points. The placement was all wrong on this one. Better luck next time, I hope...

DIFFERENT PLACEMENT!!!

I agree, the corner placement is a little off. If you removed some of the rectangular sections on the top left of the comp it would engage with the space of the shirt more and seem less framed.

The idea is solid and well executed overall though.

actually... my next submission is entitled robot-pirate love, and features scantily clad illustrations of both.

just kidding.
