Interesting... I like the blue, except for the bits coming out of her head. And her eyes look like they're diverging (opposite of cross-eyed). But great idea!

Thanks for the comments so far - here's a larger version to look at since so much detail is lost in her face: http://www.notonigon.com/statuesque.jpg

The upper body seems a bit weird to be the Venus De Mile, just the positioning of the shoudlers and the length of the arms. Good design, though.

Id like it alot more without the madusa like cords comin out of her hair. But this is definately one of the better subs to that contest.

So my mom came up and looked at this a little while ago and made this awesome insightful comment about how I wanted to represent the connection of the past and the future through technology. 'No...' I replied. I was just wondering if there was some OTHER reason none of those greek statues have arms. But I like her idea better.
This image also pays homage to the many greek statues too, of course. Although she doesn't represent any particular one as far as I know, I think I referenced the Venus de Milo the most as far as positioning and drapery goes. Her arms are output and input I suppose, and the little crown of plugs on her head mimcs the olive branch crowns they liked so much, at least a little bit I hope. Enough babbling - enjoy!
