So you completely stole someone else's style (good taste but a very poor decision) and then you made your submission flash at me. Any more reasons why I should vote zero?

i was going for more of a s. britt/ledoux look but without all the sketchy-ness. but now that i look at C86, they are similar. his stuff rules. apologies.

Uhm...Who cares if he used someone else's style? No one /owns/ a style, and chances are C86 derived his style fromlooking at other artists' work, too. This design is great for what it's worth.

No one owns a style, but it's much easier to copy someone else's work than it is to create something on your own...and if it's easier there are a lot of people who will think you're taking the easy way out of the hard work it takes to do it yourself.

Guess it'se a fluke that this looks like C86's stuff, and that's a tough comparison to try and live up to. This doesn't.

The colors on this shirt are greatness. There's no such thing as ripping off someone's "style." That's stupid. As long as you're not directly taking from their ideas.

You stole C86's style, colors, concept, and damn near complete design of SUBterrianian although yours happens to be not good and small and weird.

good god, have you ever heard the saying "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?"

If he imitated the style, who cares? Maybe he was because he dug it. The only reason that should ever really be looked down on is if he imitated without doing anything with it.

In this case I'd say its fair to say he put his own twist on it, so get off his case.
