There are certain days when the 80\\\'s satys with me. Other days it doesn\\\'t. But we all gotta love breakdancing!

with the drawing style and the pattern in the back, i'm thinking more 1998 than the 80's here..

breakdancing IS cool though.

I love the paisley-ish design in the back, I'm just not so sure it goes with the style and theme of the foreground.

he needs a big piece of flat cardboard to make it chilly chill.

the two images sort of clash... i mean, the blue swirly-swirl is intricate, and the guy is blocky. its a neat concept, just it looks like something cheap i could buy out of walmart that gansters (and ganster wannabes) wear. no offense, or anything, it just looks that way. i suggest either redoing the foreground or background, and changing one of those two primary colors. the orange and blue just look bad togehter. and i think you've got 5 colors.. maybe. i dunno if a white t-shirt counts as a fifth color or not though..

I love the design in the background... I'd buy with that alone.

It appears to be 5 colors :

blue-green = swirly background element
light orange = hat/clothes
dark red = shadow under hat
light brown = skin/shadow
dark brown = hair/shoe outline

As far as the colors are concerned, I did make a small boo-boo and there is a fifth color, but it's the other swirly background element. It's a slightly different blue. I just caught it. Otherwise, it's only 4 colors, glad to see people convincing themselves that there are more. I appreciate the comments, keep'em coming!

I think its fucking awesome. Only thing i will say is that the trainers/sneakers/shoes dont fit in with style. Sort that out and its a 5$. Right now its 4$, which is a rarity for me.

3 clearly different styles of drawing which are not intermingling. I really like the shoes, though.

nice piece... but maybe not for a shirt
5$ anyway!

I agree, I dig the design but it doesn't quite make a shirt.
If I saw someone wearing that I would be puzzled

stick with one style, the swirly or the blocky, but not both. The lack of bling-bling is a plus. Also, there are no shadows on the the shoes, but there are on the rest the figure. That certainly needs to be fixed. <3 Shell-toe.

I'd love to have that, but the shoes don't quite seem to fit with the rest of it. Still $5.

Dammit Damon, I just submitted a design of a breakdancer that I did as a painting first. Oh well... fuckin' amazing man. I like how you don't hesitate to put hip hop up here when we both know how people on Threadless are mostly haters and hipsters. $5.

this kinda reminds me of that thing on vh1 a month or so back. that hip hop honors thing.

I say modify the background, not get rid of it. Graffitti could look very nice along with that b-boy standin' in his b-boy stance.

Take away the doilie in the back and have him standing on a flattened cardboard box. Great use of the shell-toes.
