Oh, sock and shoe version. The other one is boring. The only other suggestion would be to try some different placements. Maybe put the thought bubble on the shoulder and the guy centered up on the shirt.

I too like the sock version, mostly because it's a lot more interesting than the empty thought bubble. (Also, I find socks amusing. No, I don't know why.)

i like the sock concept, but the look of vague wonderment is not that of people who need to find shoes. it's a sort of "what if...." pose not "WHERE TF!!"

Empty only because the sock is too "in your face". Tone the sock down to match the rest of the image and I like the idea. 5
