Eek! Okay, first submission, and actually my first ever serious piece done in Illustrator... I think. Anyways, this is a phoenix, which I seem to paint/draw/whatever a lot of. I did the design before really trying to figure out what\'s popular - this is a design *I* would like as a tee shirt, but I really can\'t say if other people would like it. ;) So any comments or critiques are appreciated!

Very nice, lovely design. something about the colors bugs me, i think its because the lines are too sketchy and bold like you are trying to make it look like a photograph or rendering when it isn't. Id say smooth out the lines between the colors or fix it so it does look like a rendering and you have a winner :) I still really like it though.

i would kile it if you changed the placement to the right hand corner

i like it where it's placed right now...everything's placed on the right side, unless there's two parts, an upper and lower. but with one big picture it's ALWAYS on the right...i like it on the left. lol

the design is awsome! i'd buy it if it was on black though.....i never get tired of the whole pheonix thing. only other thought is you might put more red into the actual design as it's a pheonix and they're suposed to be closely tied to fire. IT ROCKS

too pokemon /harry potter

nice use of line here, but the colors could use some work. I can tell you were going for the gradation effect but it'd probably be more successful if you distributed the darks and lights throughout the design, more importantly the darks.

colors need to be more defined

Whoever said it was too Pokemon or Harry Potter is just being silly. Neither of those enterprises invented Phoenixes.

Beautiful design. Very batik style. I certainly hope this goes up for sale. I'm totally mad about dragons and phoenixes.
