The feet are too small. I only knew what it was because I saw the last one.

It looks as if Dorothy is selling peanuts at the ball game... and is a man. Also... why is the lion a kid with a baseball hat with a tail? Yet the Scarecrow and Tin Man seem to be in character. Oh, a Toto wasn't a pug.

I like it better with just people standing around, as opposed to characters.

no no the characters around is great. i love this shirt. yea the feet are a little small, thats my only complaint. $5

it's not as good as the last. the taxi reading "East" was clever. having the cast of The Wizard of Oz standing around is a bit batronizing.

I'd rather have regular people, but keep the tin man in there for giggles-- it looks cool, and have the taxi say east. and i probably wouldn't want to make the feet bigger, because then it'll look unproportional, and the witch wasn't a giant, but maybe pull her legs out some and that will be more noticable.

Here's a tip, amishtek: When trying to sell an idea for a possible design for a shirt which could end up being lucrative to you, do not insult your voting public by calling them, "like, dense."

actually it doesnt bother me none.
my friends gettin a screen printer soon so im set.

and i mean honestly, to think that the feet would be that un-noticeable on a real life shirt. thats just. dense

0 for bad attitude! Have fun with your friend's screen printer.

i love how this plan turned into a website where you judge artwork,

to a website where scene shit gets printed because all the kids on here are into the whole indy band look and people judge people on attitude.

I like this one better than the last one.

The feet are probably ont too small if you think about the proportions. The witch does not wear clown shoes.

But as you have another way of printing this, no need to vote for it here, eh?

cambert on Nov 03 '05
On the larger version, it's clear that the taxi does say 'East' and the witch is in proportion. Problem is though that all the outlines need a lot of work and cleaning up, especially Dorothy - that one is mostly just lumps. And the lion's mane is missing - the only thing that identifies him is his tail. The idea is great but the execution just isn't up to scratch.

Regarding the attitude thing, how do you expect people to vote when you insult them?

I like this except that the lion seems to be wearing a baseball hat. Dorthy looks more like a lion... shes kinda big and the lion should be bigger than Dorthy.

no matter how good your product is, people won't buy it if you're an asshole to them, and vice versa. that's just straightforward business, and has nothing to do with art, indie kids, or scenesters.

and frankly, this shirt doesn't do much for me in the art department either, so if it doesn't get printed, please don't blame it on the "density" of your audience, but look at what you could be doing differently (different colours? cleaning up the lines? clearer characters?). thanks.

There's just too much going on here. Remove silhouetted characters.. they are confusing things and aren't illustrated that well... change taxi for the tardis =$5

Okay, first off, your design is unoriginal and the execution is mediocre at best. But to get defensive and insult people because they're not giving you the credit you think you deserve is so egotistical. Take a little constructive criticism. And a pointer: don't ever insult your audience. They're going to fucking hate you for it. No one wants to buy shit from an asshole.
amishtek
amishtek on Nov 05 '05
its not insulting when im speaking the truth, and i think thats why people are getting more upset.

it only takes common sense to realize the image wont be that small on a shirt. hence, the feet would be a lot more noticeable.

and do you really think i care what people on the internet say?
nope thanks
nogoodpeacenik
nogoodpeacenik on Nov 06 '05
Heh! Way to be, Amishtek. "I don't care waht people on the internet say... but I'm going to put a shitty design up so they can comment on it and vote on whether it becomes a shirt or not... and then argue with them..."

Man, your logic is air tight. Everyone vote for Logic Man's shirt! If you don't, you're dense!

lmao... 0$ (you're funny, but you do suck. sorry. zero!)

Clever idea, but make it more obvious what you're portraying. I didn't really get it until I read some of the comments.

Oh.
They're feet.
Hehe.
I was staring at the screen for quite a while.

I like it but.
Something about the car and the people don't mesh.
The people seem to stand out from the car.

Don't exactly like this color t-shirt either.

But good try!
