I dig it, but the styles seem a little inconsistent. The turn table and the spray can look great, but the mike and the breakdancer seem a little disjointed from the rest.

ya, this is a good idea gone wrong.. the mic and the b-boy/b-girl are not effective at all. it's 50% good. try it again, maybe (?)

A real graffiti typo should be better too.

I didnt get far with my submission which was similar.

I agree that the breaker and the mic need beefing up and the text should be in a graf style to go with the overall theme.

yeah, i'm sorry, but this does absolutely nothing for me. is hop hop a lifestyle for you? besides the inconsistancy in style of the elements. the type does nothing to promote it. may be cliché, but i'd just use a handstyle for the lettering, or if you're not into graff, copy one, don't use a graff font cause they all blow donkey balls. some, like rahzel consider beat-boxing the 5th element of hip-hop... i personally don't really care.

I personally think the mic is fine, but I dislike the dancer and the can.
I have a hoodie with the same setup, and it has no text.
The text isn't necessary, because the only people that will buy it are those into hip hop, and they don't need to tell one another what the four elements are. No text.

ditch the text, the mic and bboy need more details or the turntables should have less.

A true hip-hopper (which I am not claiming to be) would know that there are FIVE elements: Scratching, Tagging, Breaking, MCing, and Beatboxing. What are they teaching you kids in skool these daze???

Ehh, Don't want to picky but Hip Hop aint categorized by 4 (or 5 etc) things. They are the major parts, but still puttin the 4 there makes a statement. Yea I do love hip hop... Anyways, I also think the design is inconsistent. The font, the icons.. kinda plain. You need sumthin' to tie it together. I'm likin' the color scheme, maybe a little lighter.

the spray paint seems kinda out of place among the music realted images.

the djing is taken from fontalicious font, the microphone is horrible and the breakdancer is a road sign..
the font is ugly and the logo "hip hop" is taken from fontalicious font too.
2005: anyone can do the graphic designer.

take away the text, a true hiphopper will get that. breakdancer could be better. good idea, but try again.

I understand what everyone said. I made this design for a friend and I thought of sharing it. Sorry I wasn't too original with the some of the artwork. 2 are fonts and 2 are vectors: spray can and mic. If I ever come up with this concept again - I'll try to make it better without using simple pieces. again Thank you! :]
