this is amazing, dangerous shirt design, except the king of the jews caption totally wrecks it. Who wants to where that.....? I do, just get that king of the jews outta there

the design itself is hard to discern. and the measage is something only a hardcore christian could really apreciate.

i hate seeing msgs like this, as a jew, jesus is not my king, a wise figure yes, perhaps even a profit. but not a king of mine.

from what i understand of what i have read from the christian bible, jesus was farely egalitarian so this msg probibly would have offended him as well.

from an artistic perspective, thicken up the lines on jesus, and thin out the other lines, and put it on a darker shirt. it would actualy look preaty dope like that. inless your trying to go for soemthing that would look cool under a blacklight, in which case experment with mixing thicker lines and pastel colors.

And this shirt is really offensive. Yes, that is a title that you hear tossed around for Jesus, but I don't think it is anything someone should be wearing on a shirt, especially if you can't immediately figgure out that it is Jesus on the shirt (which you can't). Unless the design and the reason for it hits you like a wall you can't have text that risky on a shirt.

but that is the title he gave himself and that is why he was crucified. and on the cross above him it read 'king of the jews'.

bluehalios- a hard core Christian wouldn't appreciate it either. the sign was posted above Jesus when he was crucified in order to mock him. he wouldn't be holding it, 'cause he never referred to himself as a king of anything, other people did.
But having said that, it's just a bad design regardless of what it says.

i like the idea itself, and how you managed to sneak it into a shirt. do i think its offensive, not really, but as it is, the "king of the jews" pops out almost more than anything. id try to make a font or outlines of a font that looks like the marker on a sign that you are describing, so it blends in more seamlessly, instead of being a distraction.

i love this shirt.
except that the person should be outlined bolder than the background image, && u should probably just get rid of the "king of the jewels". the shirt will look way better w/ out any writing on it. otherwise its pretty good.

On an artistic note, I think it's fabulous. I showed it to my girlfriend and she was confused for a little bit until it came to her. I think the text does take away from the overall image, in a design sense, but nothing more.

The only other thing she needed was a fanatic to shit on it.

... :rofl: i love the way the name of Jesus gets people all stirred up. i mean, youi can tell someone to f*uck off, or something of the like (pardon my french), and they don't think twice about it. ha! but... mention the name of Jesus... yes, then you've really pissed someone off. <smiling> good... not that it's good to upset people, moreso, it shows that the even the name of Jesus, or even a reference to Him, has power. i mean, look at how everyone is all firery about this design, it's sooo offensive to some, and then amazing to others. the Bible says that the word of God devides like a sword... it either drives you towards him, or away... it either encourages and empowers, or angers and disgusts... which side do all of you fall on...?

...now, as for i think this design is pretty sweet. the whole Jesus holding the sign like a derelect is interesting... there's definately some rather intense symbolism going on here. i could do with some diff' colors, but prettysweet as a whole...

...and 'west was won', dude, way to step out in boldness. the fear of man is pointless. beside, do you really care what a gaggle of closet mtv fans thinks...?
