I don't think it evokes the theme strongly enough...

nice concept, but i agree the font-work needs to be pushed further...the record could have the grooves faintly...cassetts could be a bit more evident.....i'm thinkin that if the word was more illustrated than font-created.....it would prob. do better.....like the word choice and the bravery to attack threadless with intelligent typography....
