Ok, I hope this hasn't been done -- I took a look through past submissions and didn't find anything exactly like this, so... fingers crossed. Drawn from scratch, no ripping off people's photos or art. Hahaha between the blog forum and the rip-off artists (intentional or otherwise) I'm now a bit paranoid.

4 colors: blue, green, white and red. The boyfriend's shirt is meant to be the same color as the t-shirt, etc.

This could probably use a better title -- even "My Girlfriend's A Gorgon" is better than what I came up with when I submitted. I thought about something like "Problematic" or "But I Love Her Anyway" or something. I dunno. Am bad with the titles. Anyway. :)

Greek Mythology:

The Gorgons are three sisters, daughters of ancient, pre-titan gods, Phorkys and Keto (Ceto). The sisters Sthenno and Euryale were immortal but the third, Medusa, was mortal. All three were so hideous, the shock of seeing them would turn anyone to stone. Medusa is called The Gorgon or simply, Gorgon.

The guy looks a bit reminiscent of Elijah Wood's character Kevin in the movie Sin City (the glasses and the Converse..even though Kevin's were black).

i thought it was cool. i liked the light green shirt, and didn't click about the glasses till bramble said anything. 5 from me.

been playing God of War lately so i'm digging the ancient greece theme, i'd like the snakes to have eyes.

anyway, my avatar was always a goron i drew from scratch.
hot hot.

however.
the boy's face bothers me a bit. his chin isn't defined enough, i think. or his sunglasses are placed wrong or SOMETHING. and his right (our right) con looks kind of like a mickey mouse shoe.

and the strand of "hair" sticking straight up above the gorgon girl bothers me a little bit.

but i do love this shirt.

just for the record, peeps, medusa was ONE gorgon, and a mortal one at that. gorgons are often depicted as having a snake like lower body -- medusa always has legs in the movies because that's easy and saves on the FX budget. this gorgon is not medusa specifically. nor is she katie holmes. sigh. :)

work a little on the guy's shirt (the collar area xpecially) and hair, and everthing will be perfect.

Very nice - I love the colors and I even like the red of her fingernails and his sneakers. I'd buy it.

I think he should have a dark green shirt. As it is now everything in the design "pops" except his shirt and it just leaves this weird hole on the shirt. $5 from me anyway. :)

i don't know why i don't like the red nails. i'd still buy the shirt because i'm vain and the bitch reminds me of me.

I really love this and would definitely wear it. The only suggestions I have for possible improvements are that maybe the guy’s legs are a little too skinny, and that the shape of his left trainer (his left, not ours) doesn’t look quite right. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Anyway, I’d still buy it though - well done.

By the way, definitely keep the snake tail on the girl – it looks far more striking this way than it would if she had legs. For anyone wondering about Gorgons, check out the film “Clash of the Titans.” Medusa was depicted in this film as having the lower body of a snake and since then, this seems to have become the most popular representation of a Gorgon.
