I like the concept but it seems like the joke needs something more. Smokey should be engaged in some lewd act. It dosent have to be ridiculous like what first came to mind is he should be banging a giraffe or something, it could be a little more subtle than that, but more obvious than it is right now.

anthropomorphism involves a lot more than just humanizing animals:

I'm so glad you re-did this. It looks so much better, and it's a great idea. I'd prefer a slightly less-neon green, but it's still a $5.
p.s. - Nealteak: Smokey the Bear has been anthropomorphized by the US forest service for like 50 years. Don't put all that pressure on mrylander! ;o) |

nealteak - I agree that anthropomorpism is a wide net -- that's an enlightening wikipedia entry. but I'm not sure I get where you're going. for an anthropomorphised animal to petition to stop his own anthorpomophism is the idea. |

karena@magicjelly on Sep 21 '05 I think the design is a bit too big & too low on the shirt...& the text just looks too standard & lack lustre & somehow needs customising to integrate it more with your illy. I also agree about the green. I'd do a dull, almost khaki green & make the grass & his pants that colour & the sign that light tan you've used.
Sounds like a lot of crits, but this is a nice concept & solid design. |
