I wouldn't agree that both parties are apathetic to everything. Not something I'd wear, but I'd definately like more it if the donkeys weren't so well hidden.

It's more a commentary on the general public's attitude on any number of issues and many folks outright reluctance to get involved with political processes. From voting to protesting to reform to change, many people feel that they are powerless to affect the world around them when the government is involved
