I absolutely LOVE this! :D I agree that the under-eye smudge paint & the devious/determined expression are perfect!
Heh, when my brother & sister & I used ghost players it always led to epic arguments about their base-stealing prowess - sort of like the Calvin & Hobbes strip with the same theme. XD
I'm not fond of American Apparel's specific brown (wish it was darker/richer/chocolatier) so I'll cross my fingers that the girly version will be a different (darkish) color, but I like this design enough that I'd probably buy the brown anyway. 5$
This is great... and I'm also one of those who isn't usually too into the ghost shirts. I'd love it more if the design were placed elsewhere, but good job nonetheless!
I really like this, and would definitely buy it if it gets printed, which I hope it does. As for these comments on the minute technical details, yeah sure, they're correct. However, no one really notices those things when they glance at your shirt and get a good chuckle out of it. An normal, everyday person isn't going to say to themselves, "Wow, that shirt is atrocious because yadda yadda yadda..."
Anyhoo, keep up the good work, and take these observations posted by others and keep them in mind for your next project.
i'm pretty sure the baseline runs under the outside edges of the bases, not the middle. i think thats what was bothering me when i first saw this submission.
i think this submission is absolutely brilliant and so is the boy who made it. i still wonder how you came up with the idea, kid at heart i guess. your great.
ghost runners! ha- haven't thought of that in a while.
we didn't have base lines (or even real bases...) but it would be cool if the lines on your shirt could continue to the edges.
Yeah so i looked at this and wondered, how many girls would realy understand this shirt? Im sure a few would. Anyway this shirt rocks hard, my socks are completely missing.
lol all i want now is a baseball diamond where things in the yard are bases. first base is the garden tile, second is the tree, third is the clothes hanger, and home is back at the brown spot where the dirt is all worn out hahaha. it also reminds me of our rule we had to have for anyball that went into the road was a homerun (so we wouldn't run into traffic hahaha)

This reminds me of playing baseball with my stepbrother when we were little...and because there were only two of us, we had a lot of ghost men.
Haha. Yeah, I probably wouldn't buy the shirt myself, but it's a sweet-ass design. 5.

The floating base is kind of odd.
annyong
love it!!!
mikelietz
Shadows are a bit funky -- the ghost is lit from above but the base is from an angle.
Great idea though!

Great reference to something that a lot of people can recall from their childhood :)
