tomburns -- You'll see a lot of robots here for the same reason that you'll see a lot of pandas, zombies, ninjas/samurai, broken hearts, blood splatters and pirates.

wicked illustration... I have a little problem with the highlights being both on the right and left side, but the overall style is very nice; very dynamic line work

After seeing all the robots I decided I wanted to trow one on here to.
As for the pose I could have had residual marvel memories surfacing from early childhood.
As far as I know it was off the tip of my brain.

I love it. He looks loose like a rag doll yet he is a robot.
Structure and no structure together. As for the Highlights.
He's a robot and made of metal. Therefore he will reflect light from sky as well as any other modern metallic objects around or below him.
Maybe he is inside and standing next to tracklighting in the floor.

The illustration is great, but I think the skewed rectangle in the background really makes it. I love this. Definitely $5.
