why are two legs better? Animal farm aside, what are you trying to say? is this anti-sheep? anti-american? who's better? the message is a little confused.

squid inc on Aug 25 '05
hmmm. it's pretty much my take on the american government's control of the media. from the commonly coined pharse "weapons of mass destruction" to "weapons of mass deception"

...tried to put i little bit, just a little of bit russian contructivism style to it. don't know if i pulled it off?

Hey Squid, this is nice. Usually I don't like text, but it seems to work here. Although, I do like the sheep and think it could stand alone. Good job. 4

Ok don't get me wrong, I loved Animal Farm, probably one of my favorite books besides To kill a mockingbird, but... on my shirt?! Cool design, but I'm not big on wearing required reading book quotes around.

People like Green Day control the media more than the government, especially in this generation. I doubt you know much on the subject you're slandering with this design. Get over yourself, wannabe commie.

"THE suit," i think i will retract my design in light of your comment. your criticism and insight of my own personal knowledge was on the mark. i have never dealt with anyone who knows so much about me, with never actually interacting with me. i can't let you get away!

will you marry me?

Great design, would buy this one, colours work, the 'spray effect' and the angles.

Critisism isn't definition, I wasn't trying to guess what this shirt is about. The only reason I stopped to comment on your shirt is because you explained it's meaning yourself. Learn to deal with it, because anyone who makes politcal opinion designs (as opposed to say, politcal research) needs to 'get out of the business'.
The_Suit
The_Suit on Sep 01 '05
And what I mean by that is not everyone is going to support your premature opinion which inspired this design.
squid inc
squid inc on Sep 01 '05
suit, how about people who make emotional opinion designs... perhaps addressing their opinion on love, hope, sorrow... etc, do they belong in the "business" isn't a lot of art or design based upon opinions or ideas and not always factual evidence.

if you look back on the history of design it is filled with political statements. should they have been in the "business?"

i understand that everyone has their own opinion, and not everyone agrees with mine, ie the avg score on this being a 1.94 (!#&!!). my original response to you was more directed towards you calling me a wannabe commie and implying that i know nothing about the subject.

you never answered my question about the whole marry thing. we could be one of those couples that always fight.

how about this, i will meet you in the middle. i will get over my wannabe commie self and you can get over your commitment issues.

I like your sense of humor.

But I'm not saying you shouldn't design shirts based on opinions, I'm saying you shouldn't design shirts based on senseless opinions. Or you shouldn't design shirts period.

Whichever you translate better.
squid inc
squid inc on Sep 06 '05
i don't know if there is such a thing as a senseless opinion. i would think that they are all just opinions (whether or not i agree with them). perhaps you think that my opinion is senseless, but that is just you opinion. i think that your opinion about that is senseless... but that is just my opinion, it is not a fact!
The_Suit
The_Suit on Sep 06 '05
The fact is that your opinion is senseless because it's one made without a base or support. It's also a shared opinion held by angsty teenagers because we have a president who has made some bad descisions, and all of a sudden, they think we should be communists and anarchists and that the government is one big lie. You ask any regular pothead at my highschool, and they would absolutely love this shirt's message. Nice work.
squid inc
squid inc on Sep 07 '05
fist off... not a big fan of green day!

second the message wasn't "commies rule" or "anarchists forever!" the message was media control. that is what i get from reading animal farm. i do not think that the book is just about evils of communism but more so of what can happen when the government has too much control of the media ro too much control in general.

i do n0t think that i only share this opinion with potheads at your little highschool in your little sheltered world.

i can make the same washed over assumptions that you made about me. how bout this; you are head of your republican highschool party club, you say that freedom is not free so you translate that into "pre -emptively " invading two countries... once allies of our govt', you like guns, you watch the 700 club, and it is very possible that you wear jean shorts with a polo tucked in and that you have a parted hair cut.

anyway this is stupid. oh wait, that is just my opinion without any base or support!
