...like I.Q.

this was actually for the semi permanent competition. i could've sworn the deadline day was the 14th.

i actually wanted to upload a swf. to allow people to view more detail, but i couldn't get the file size down to 60kb. i think the vectors were too complex. anyway, i'm gonna upload a bigger version somewhere

if threadless would be kind enough to still consider this entry for the semi-permanent comp that would be so dope! please???

WHY IS IT THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST COPY DIAGRAMS ON THIS SITE?

Too many brains. Keep it simple. New York state of mind.

Belljonez, you shouldn't comment if you don't get it.

ok. uh. i should probably point out that the words "new york" are spelled out in, well brains. i might've been able to better indicate that somehow. a friend told me she didn't even see it until i told her. which was kind of the intent. kinda like a little secret! anyway yeah. look close. you'll see it. it's actually all i see now.

Just pare it down to just the head and brain with the words in it. All the rest is not that attractive and distracts from your typography stunt.

brains are hot

I didn't see the words either. There's too much else going on, and maybe I still wouldn't have - without the lines of "new york" being different, a slightly different color or thickness.

I like the fact that the "New York" letters are subtle".

I agree that there are too many smaller pix at the bottom. How about keeping four of them?

i actually like the smaller pics at the bottom. im not fond of how 'new york' is blended it, the style of the writing is weird to me.

id lose the new york text

well the "style" of the writing isn't so much a style per se. i just tried to match it more or less to the surface texture of a brain, to camouflage it. i mean it would've looked pretty piss-poor had i written it in helvetica. plus that's kinda what the shirt is about. ...brain...new york... superspecies... i obviously was going for a literal/visual execution of that concept. but maybe being more undercover about it as opposed to blatant.

i think it is fine the way it is. not a fan of all the clothes that say NEW YORK on them, but this still gets my vote. good stuff

I like the New York being subtle. I wouldnt buy though...personally I'm sick of New York t-shirts...I dont live there, although I love to visit. I wouldve bought being in the medical field, but with the New York...all interest is lost.
