the black background is a machine gun being disassembled/assembled (however you want to think about it)

is this another one of those sappy love is murder illustrations? its a nice drawing with free form, but i dont know how much more i can take people drawing guns and knives into their pictures with girls and guys.

i think ya'll try to read too much into something is supposed to simplistic. you must learn to appreciate a design for what it is, and it's artistic merit. i definitely buy it, it's an awesome design.

i really really like the sketchy style you drew the girl in. i think the background is a bit much though; too many lines

Well I happen to disagree with those who believe that this design is too busy. I love how the sketch of the female is overlapped upon the machine gun. The colour scheme is brilliant as well. I want this shirt! It's a five-r.

i could care less for the gun. i think if it was just a bunch of free-form shapes, I'd enjoy this image alot more... i give it a 3...

The sketchy look is good, but this design needs more abrupt / contrasty / meaningful colors so that it actually has a point. Otherwise it's just a barely decipherable, but pretty sketch. That said, I like the juxtaposition of styles. It has a very Aeon Flux feel to it for some reason.
