i think its cute...
i dont usually like shirts where the image goes all the way across the front though

This is a good idea, but sisterV is right, needs more refinement. This could do with a bunch of sketches of variations on the theme. Try everything, even the cheesy stuff, just sketch. Get some feedback and work it until the feedback is mostly good.

Right now, it doesn't hold up well. It took me a minute to see that the three stick-like things were scalpels. At first they looked like straws, which made me wonder why all these little people were standing on a lunch counter behind an empty soda glass...

Seriously, this has potential.

It reminds me of the School House Rock videos I had to watch in the second grade. It's cute, though.

Great concept, but as said above, the execution could be better... I didn't get it at first until I looked at the title either. To make it seem more factory-esque, you could try making it look like the people are standing on a conveyor belt.

or...

instead of the "soda glass/straws" look (heh) you could try drawing a mini factory with a couple cartoon-y smoke stacks that the "ordinary" people are lining up for.

*shrug*

I agree with Bramble, if there was a little conveyer belt that these people were standing on going into a mini factory and turning out those perfect products, it wouldn't of taken me as long to understand the concept, which is indeed a nice one. :)

Great idea, no straight lines and cartoon style is great! Great humour and very original!

I like the concept and I think that the t-shirt looks ace, I would definitely buy it. Can't really see what causes oher people's confusion about the way scalpels look.

Oh gosh, it reminds me The Swan pageant...nice idea. But I'm sure it could be better...another placement maybe?

i saw the 3 scalpels at first, too. how about adding some people of color on the non-perfect side? too political?

umm, you mean adding people of color on the perfect side, right beckbot? shheez.

anyway, i got it right away, and i like the fact that its not too refined and looks like a cartoon. i understand that that is what you wanted it to look like. what all the people here are trying to say when they say the "excecution" is poor is really "it isn't executed exactly like all the other shirts" i.e. in vector art. then again, i do all my stuff in vector art and i dont win either.

ha ha, $4

I like the style but I think the abs on the guys would look better in the middle instead of the sides.

Yeah! Put some non-caucasiens on the imperfect side! It would be hillarious!

And why are the figures that are partly in the machine completely naked?

Im not keen on the factory itself... Perhaps one scalpel, and then two different tools? I dont know, forceps, if you want to stick with the plastic surgery theme, or a screwdriver if you wanted to make it more like a factory. Your shirt, your call.

what i wanna know is why are all the people on the "imperfect" side unhappy?

It's a nice concept, except the composition reminds me of Schoolhouse Rock.

Just a little.

Ah... reminds me of this commercial from Concerned Children's Advertising years ago. This lady with big lips said "Why be you when you can be me?" and the preteens went into this factory like place to look like new people.
Basically what I 'm saying is that this seems to be a very old concept. I don't know if I could find it amusing no matter the execution since what it's saying has been said so many times before.

good work...great idea...pretty clear and self-explanatory to me...I even thought they were on a conveyor belt...I would, though, agree with a previous comment about the guys' abs...they just don't look right...
