About my design

New York City - The Superspecies

Divided by class and happy on Soma.

4 unique colors on Chocolate , Forest Green, or Black. Best on chocolate.

Each area of the NYC map is filled with a pattern of one of the Greek social class characters from the book Brave New World by Huxley.

This design seems to be aimed a very small audience.

I think you may want to design with more peolpe in mind.

I admit I could be wrong.

i don't know, i'm not really into the whole greek social class thing, but this design was very well executed and looks pretty cool. i'd give it a 5

I think that at the very least, someone can look at this and think it looks pretty cool. Even if they think it's just a map of NYC.

Helo, Brave New World should appeal to most people that have gone through highschool, shouldn't it?? I don't think that's a very small audience, personally...

Anyhow, I love your idea.

It's perhaps the most unique I've seen in this contest.

That, and I loved Huxley's story. Truly has stayed with me for years.

I'd buy this shirt, and I don't live anywhere NEAR NYC.

been a while since I've read Huxley, but shouldn't Bklyn be Beta? I like this design; it's smart and good-looking.

That's something I wasn't completely sure about, but can be easily tweaked without bringing a lot of change to the graphic. I wasn't completely sure which area should receive which denotation (although I did think of Manhattan as alphas... which kind of brought this about).

If anyone has any more suggestions, please comment.

A great idea. I think it would be more effective on a national or global scale.

As NYC, it's a bit messy.

There is a contest.... We are designing a shirt with the theme "NYC, home of the superspecies."

You need to be in the know!

i detest brave new world.

i never actually read brave new world, and i'm not familiar enough with the geography of NYC to be able to see it in that. Even knowing that it's supposed to be NYC, I don't see it there.

Manhattan: Alpha

Brooklyn: Beta

Queens: Gamma

Bronx: Delta

Staten Island: Epsilon

Although Manhattanites are pretty weak these days compared with Brooklyn and Queens. Come on, the East Village versus Bed-Stuy or Howard Beach? Who'd win in a fight? Forget it!

Should add, love the shirt. $5!

I really like the concept, but the Delta and Epsilon colors are too similar to be distinguishable from one another from afar (minus the Greek letters).
