I think the dark gray shirt works best, but it looks really good on that denim color too. 4 colors... golden yellow, light blue, black and white. I used gold and light blue cuz that was the color of Anakin's pod racing engines in the movie. Hope you like it!

ok without vader, this could have been pretty cool.

What a damn shame. First of all, this is all kinds of awesome. But they're not going to print yet another Vader shirt. So why not leave him out? The joke would still be there and it'd probably be even more powerful. Good job, but this is one of the few times I reccomend a re-submit without Vader.

That sucks... I asked a couple friends, and the general consensus was that they liked Vader being on there. Only one of'em said they think it would be better without him... I guess I know which friend is one to go with on future opinions for threadless, lol.

awwww... yeah. i was enamored with this until i saw the vader silhouette.... there's really no point to having him there, so he detracts from the overall design effect.

Well if you ever make the change, you might want to consider making the white in the left of the front windshield the color of the shirt instead. Since, it's glass.

I agree with all of the above. I know Anakin changes in to Vader (hope I haven't spoilt it for anyone lol) but its much later than the Podrace

Pifman.. what if I just give it all sort of a thick outline of white as an underbase type of thing? I really like the white contrast in that window, to the black silhouette interior. Hit me up with more suggestions guys, cuz this is definately going to be re-entered without Vader.

Haha, I didn't even notice Vader at first. I just went 'PODRACER CAR YES!' I love the idea, but Vader just takes away from it, really. But I want one regardless of if the design changes or not. If it doesn't get printed, I'd love if you drew a few of them in a race or something to resubmit. :]

Well if you really like the white there, then that's no biggy. It's really not bad looking, just thought you maybe didn't think that part through. But I'm gonna say "probably not" to the thick white outline thing though. Mostly because it would look really weird considering the shadows and everything. And you can't take out the shadows since they really show off the "floating" engines.

You could toy with the idea of using some really dark color instead of black. It might give it a more stylized look. But that's just an idea, the black looks fine really.

What kind of car is it? That is the only determining factor as to whether I'd buy.

I agree with Pifman about removing the white
area in the left side of the front windshield.
Maybe you could put some white diagonal
reflection lines across the front winsheild to
partly fill in the passenger door window area.

I think Threadless would print another Vader
shirt -- though it would have to be better
than the " Dark side of the Garden " T-shirt
to have a chance.

For this shirt I think Darth Vader distracts
from the kickin' combo vehicle deal.

Make it a Camaro and I'm sold. No, really, a good shirt with or without Vader.

That's about as P.I.M.P as can be! If Vader has to go, you ought to put a good guy character, like Chewie, who is easily recognizable as a silhouette. Or maybe an X-wing pilot in helmet, maybe with the helmet under the arm.

AWESOME! I absolutely love this! I am a star wars geek and I already bought Dark side of the garden. I have to add this to my collection lol. 5 and buy! When reading all the comments I was sort of getting annoyed at eveyone being so anti-vader but after a lot of thought I think that it probably would look better without him there. I would DEFINITELY buy this with or without vader OR even with another character like Chewie or an X-wing pilot as Jeff said. I think it would be best without anyone there though.
With the window thing... I think it looks alright with it being white. But I would buy this regardless of whether it's white or not! Awesome illustration and idea. This is the best! PRINT IT, THREADLESS!!!!!!

At first i loved this shirt. And if i saw it in a store, i would buy it as is, no questions asked and i would be thrilled with my purchase. Since the issue of re-design has come up, however, it occurs to me that the pod-racing occured at a very innocent time in the story, when the audience still has only a hint of the eventual awesome that anakin is to become. This being said, maybe put a sillouhette of a kid sitting on the hood of the car? and maybe, just maybe, put the vader helmet sitting next to him where one would ordinarily put one's racing helmet?

I like it, I guess some of us just never get enough "vader". I give it a 5, good graphics, like the colors. I think it would capture the attention of car enthusiasts as well, even if they aren't vader fans.

i think vader being in the background gives it a more, "dark" feeling about it, which i like. without him it would be more of a "silly" joke

The pods seem to be slightly skewed in perspective from the car. I don't really care about vader one way or the other.

the pods are on a wider stance than the car, and since they are closer to the viewers eye they can appear to be at a different angle... maybe you just have better eyes than me, but I don't see any difference in the perspective.
