Haha this is so cool and actually I think I would like it better if it was an I-pod.Maybe if you moved the large circle down or added another circle to it it would be more speaker like.

i kinda want to see the zodiac symbols in the alternate open spaces on the outer circle design, kinda of an all year, every person type of thing... but its awesome anyways, thats just what popped into my head...

I think it could work as an ipod or as a speaker, but its not quite reading entirely as either.
For speaker; it needs to be more symmetrical. Make the tweeter a smidge bigger and align it on the same vertical axis as the woofer. Also add a little more space between the two by moving the tweeter up a bit and the woofer down. You'll probably have to mess with the scrolls to make it work...but they may also be making it harder to understand the form as a speaker. I know the only decoration I've seen on the face of a speaker is a brand logo.

The reason why I added the patterns to the speaker was to make it fit more with the design, otherwise it looked to plain, like a black rectangle in the middle of the image.

zool -- i think the reason ppl say it looks like an ipod is because in the center of the speaker it looks like there's a small button (like the middle of the ipod radial button). that, and it's pretty big compared to the size of the speaker box. make the actual speaker a bit smaller and change the reflection so it looks like it goes in instead of out if you're concerned about the ipodiness. personally, i don't really think it's that big of a deal.

i like the way this fits with the overall Warped Tour artists and look.
