jtaro, the shading was done with the very helpfull wacom intuos 3 tablet. woohoo for pressure sensitive computer instruments.

Really not digging this. It looks too "I just scanned this out of my sketchbook, cleaned up the lines in Photoshop, changed the color, and slapped it on a shirt"-ish. The lines get lost on the shirt.
Hair is cool. Face...is not so cool. Lips bother the heck out of me. Anatomy is your friend. This is better left as art rather than a shirt, in my opinion. |

Wow! A lengthy critique, cool. I see your point. I didn't do the design that way, but it kind of looks that way. I think if I have the chance (without resubmitting of course) I would make the lines thicker. I was just trying to do something that looked different from all the simple, thick, vector-like designs everyone has.
And I know anatomy is my friend, (I seem to remember uttering this before myself at some point) I wasn't trying to be realistic. If I was, then yes, this picture would be extemely *%^#ed up. :-D |
