My first submission.

I like the idea but I think the logo is too big and it would be better without text.

W/O the text it would loose it's meaning. I like it, a cool idea.

Like the idea, would look better if smaller and placed a bit lower.

not crazy about using clipart in designs.

But I do understand why you would think it's clipart. It has that look, doesn't it? I'm currently trying to refine my work and make it more graphic. My professional stuff consists is a lot of vegetables, flowers and gardening related illustration and the clients tend to like this style, so it's hard to break free.

Way to break free, drawing veggies in my spare time...

i like the idea a lot, but it really is a bit too big and in-your-face.. the "produce is murder.." bit is funny but I think a better tagline could be had as well... and in a smaller font..

if you really wanna keep the text, put it below the image.

I love the illustration. And I totally disagree that it would lose it's meaning without the text. It's a very strong visual. It does NOT need the text and would look better without that.



I'd like to see the design a smaller size. I think the main course could stand to be a bit larger in scale on the plate.

I wholeheartedly agree! I'm not too fond of the one up top, but the revised editions are wonderful and I would totally buy and wear them! I don't believe that giving this submission a five would permit the revisions to be considered though. Darn it. I really like the revised editions! It's excellent to see constructive feedback in the comments, and even more cool to have a designer humble and talented enough to accept it. Good work hekama!

I don’t know if it will piss vegans / vegetarians off, no hateful comments as of yet anyway. I guess you could see it as an anti ”meat is murder” statement if you want to, but it wasn’t really meant that way. My thought was; meat is murder, of course, we all know that by now. But veggies and fruits have feelings too and you shouldn’t eat them either. What’s left to eat then? Well, I dunno... I suppose only synthetic food will do, like marshmallows, bubble gum (artificially flavored, mind you) and perhaps dairy products in some cases. Any more idéas as to what I can eat and not harm anything? ;)

i'm vegetarian. its doesnt piss me off. i like it. my opinion though: smaller text. design should be lower on the shirt. that is all. kudos.

There's a new version coming in few days, I hope. The first resubmission got rejected because of some tecnical thing with the swf file so I had to do it again.

i think it would look slightly better if the text curved round the top of the plate, but other than that i think it's fantastic, love it!!

Text is too high- maybe try making the design smaller and try some other layouts. I love the stress/surprise lines around the broccoli.
