Haha, I would definitely buy this.

I don't see why people are telling you take the text out. I'm glad to see that most of the people that have commented can see the metaphor/pun, but I doubt most people would.

I get confronted all the time about my shirts. I hate having to explain things to people about them because they can't figure it out for themselves. I'm pretty sure if you took the text out and I wore this shirt, I would get numerous, "I don't get it"s throughout the day. With the text, it clears everything up.

This is definitely a great shirt. As someone who appreciates a good mixed metaphor, I say keep the text intact!

I was Googling 'Rocket Surgery' today and lo, here I am. It's not a pun and I love the image, but seeing as the blended metaphor is used in the negative - i.e. something is NOT rocket surgery ergo you should be able to manage - why not have a thought bubble that adds a twist, rather than just a label for stupid people who 'don't get it'?

Gary Larson is brilliant at these nuances - e.g., "When the monster came, Lola, like the peppered moth and the arctic hare, remained motionless and undetected. Harold, of course, was immediately devoured." (if you don't know that one, she is sitting in a print floral dress on a print floral chair in a room with a print floral carpet and print floral wallpaper). The genius is in one word - "When".

So for me, the guy should be thinking something like "Actually, this IS kinda tricky" or "OK, now for the science bit".

FYI, my current favorite 'new cliche' is "let's shoot this pig into space". Kind of appropriate...

This is fantastic... because my father actually says "it's not brain science" all the time.. and it's a strange thing because.. my mom and I know what he means... On a similar note, he often suggests that we should "make a bee hive"...(this is worse than a mixed metaphor..) By the way.. this is not a pun.. everyone has to stop saying that.

I love the design. I just started a postdoc with NASA and my wife just started her residency in surgery. I need to have two of these t-shirts as quickly as possible. Please let me know when they are out or if you post it on Cafe Press. Nice work.

I think that this needs to be seen again. And then printed.

This shirt seriously needs another chance. I would love to buy this shirt, and would as soon as it becomes available!

Mixed metaphors are always fun. But being the super geek that I am, this image also reminds me of when Spock and Bones "performed surgery" on a photon torpedo...

Of course I would buy this shirt.

I say this all the time. I was all prepared to submit my own shirt, thinking I was a genius and this is such a funny original idea. When I saw yours, I was infuriated to find it was not printed. Its well done. I would have like to have seen your custom type, but it still rocks. Threadless, please print!

Killer Queen

Awwwwww. I'd love to buy it!

I'm thinking this has something to do with Trailer Park Boys?
