i really like the idea, but i just feel like we get a little carried away with the music notes, i don't know it's just a little much. and khaki, aside from me already hating it, doesn't do much for the design. nice work though.

yeah, the electric blue and khaki aren't very complementary

I don't like the fact that all the notes are in the same orientation. If the fan is blowing them around helter skelter, they should be at different angles... no?

i agree and i think you need to consult your color wheel
BrokenStar57
BrokenStar57 on Jul 08 '05
last time I checked, khaki (tan) was a neutral and didn't make it on my color wheel. But it is generally closer to yellows and oranges in the spectrum, which happen to be compliments of blue.

After you graduate highschool and take some color theory courses, get back to me on consulting a color wheel.

I love it, except for the shirt color. Its just, kinda wierd

I don't like how uniform the music notes are. Try switching up sizes, etc. I love the fan.
FakePlasticEarth
FakePlasticEarth on Jul 10 '05
I would also take the shadows off the notes, rotate some of them, and have them swirling around the fan so your idea is a little clearer. I like the blue and tan together though.

I made the notes more random and rotated them....It made a big difference and looks better. I re_submitted, but I'm not sure if it will get posted or not. in any case, you can check it out here.

Oh, This is a good one. Reminds me of the rhythms you can make by putting your finger in the fan blades...*imagines everyone getting up to try it*

Reminds me of sophomore design crits - all of the energy is put into conceptual thinking (which still needs another two years of refining), while style and aesthetics are unnecessarily demeaned. Fine solution for "Room Noises," but does anyone really want to wear it?
