I like this. It's discomforting because its filled with realistic symbolism

I really like the style and the image but I think it would work better with just the girl and cat, no text. The man is too far behind her. None of his body is visible. It doesn't look right, it's almost as if he is her second head. That doesn't make sense with the text anyway. Minus those elements the girl with the long neck and the cat rock!!

I think the guy works fine, and looks great, I agree about the Jazz record comment, it's a really cute idea and design, 5.

keeep text. especially when it IS in such great typography! keep the kitty, he balances things out.

I say just make more of the guy visible.

i don't like the quote "it's not his fault" not to be overly PC but it brings up a lot of bad violence against women associations.

This shirt disturbs the hell out of me, and that's even without reading into it and thinkning it implies violence. I can't even bring myself to look at the picture again...ugh.

This design is fantastic! Witty, excellent illustration, great Saul Bass style lettering. I would definitely buy and wear this.

I wonder if the people with "violence against women" comments have said anything about all the gun imagery submitted left & right around here. I took this particular design as a jab at the lame excuses offered in domestic violence situations and don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with all the dead-girl, suicide and gratuitous romanticized gun imagery I see here.

it would look better (I think) if you could see the guy's legs too, then it's not just a head

very 1974 illustration style. the type could use a little tweaking though.5

Thank you talentshow. So true.

Picture is very nice. And is it such a bad thing if an image is discomforting? Come now. And people who think that this promotes violence towards women, you all are bloody fucking fools. Lets all say it together, all at once,

IRONY.

There. Was that really that hard?

Once again, lovely image. Maybe not in that color though? I can't wear orange very well. And the cat is nice, makes it balanced.

i agree about some comments.
i think the guy may need some body part(s) and i think you should lose "it's not his fault" (but only because i don't think it needs it...i think it would look better without it and and i just think it's funnier if it just says "he's just teething")

Yeh, I don't really know why, but this is really disturbing to me too...and I didn't get any sort of violent vibe from it either...it just kind of makes my hair stand on end...

but I like it at the same time

I'm so conflicted!

If you get rid of "its not his fault" it will lose all meaning.

I may be looking at it too hard, but it seems with all the elements (her 60's dress, the housewife pearls, and the cat), it harkens back to the days when people turned a blind eye to domestic abuse. On second thought, I guess that's the point. Very creative and leaves me cold.

i thought it was kind of sexy, in a creepy way. i love the illustration style. I just thought they were on a date and then she invited him in but he got a little handsy. but he's just teasing.
I think part of the creepiness is that she has no mouth or expression. Very passive.

I'm not much on the overall concept, but I do find it be original and well executed. It isn't something that I would buy, but I think it's perfectly fine the way. Well, except, as others have said, show more of the guy's body.

I'm pretty sure most of the people that have commented on this so far are insane or mildly retarded.

If you take out "It's not his fault" part, it takes away the irony of the image. If you take out all the text together, you get a guy biting on a girls neck which leaves very little to no message. If you take out the guy and the text, you have a girl with a long neck and a cat. There would be pretty much nothing all that interesting of the shirt then.

Leave it the way it is.
