i'm one too. i was very confused. and very bothered by the fact that drinks with ice cubes (even if they're not really ice cubes) don't have those domed lids. those are reserved for slushy drinks. perhaps iced coffee with whipped cream.

no domed lid...or add whipped cream!

Boba tea, also known as bubble tea, is a blended mix of fruit flavors, tea and ice. If you get it with "pearls", it comes with these big chewy balls of tapioca (or sometimes chunks of sweetened coconut jelly) in the bottom. It requires an extra-large straw to get the tapioca balls.
