I think they're a little close together, but I like the concept a lot. Perhaps move the gopher (?) and little farther back. Like under the other foot. 4

perhaps you'll like this idea, put a mailbag on the ostrich and have it delivering mail to the gopher, it may lend some whimsical dialogue to the scene.

I like the concept but there's a few details that could be worked on. The gopher seems to be just there, floating. And they are a bit close together.

Yeah yeah. Put the gopher behind the ostrich popping it's head above ground. That would give it a good yin-yang feeling.
