 So here's my 3rd and favorite submission. I'm not even a big fan of the band, but I still thought that this shirt just had to be made. I like the colors I chose (both the design and the shirts) but really they could be substituted for pretty much anything. Enjoy.

But about the colors, I didn't want to do them in black and white because not only would it be way too obvious of a choice, but if the colors were contrasted more the make-up would be too easily noticable, thus spoiling the joke a bit early. i like the idea, but i think the execution could do with a little work. not sure about the browns. different colour and i think its great :)

i'm not a huge cat fan (ok, i hate them too no end), but this is kinda cute. at first glance it reminded me of something you'd see at a dollar store, though.

Hey thanks everyone for all the awesome comments! I'm glad you like it so much. And rdoyle, I'm glad Gene's tongue out didn't go unnoticed. But "Paul" staring straight ahead is no accident either. Ha, show me a picture where he's not.
Anyways about the colors, some love them, some hate them. I've come to the conclusion that you can't please everybody, so that's that I guess. Thanks again, keep 'em comin. |

It's cool, but I'm afraid I cannot allow myself to wear any shirts depicting Kiss or any likness of them. If it weren't for that I would buy it.

I've said it once and I guess I'll say it again. Black and White would be the most obvious choice in the world. I get it, cuz Kiss make-up is black and white, how clever.
If I made the design black and white there would be too much contrast. And if there was too much contrast the first thing you'd notice would be the make-up. Thus, ruining the effect of the entire design. The point is to see the kittens first. If I were to take away the color it'd have to be black and gray. And that would suck. Sorry, I'll shut up now. It's just that I feel pretty strongly about this. And I think this makes the most sense. Hate the brown if you want, but I'm not going to be re-submitting it in black and white. Carry on. |

but a shirt has to be catchy .... thats why there have to be more contrast. so people can enjoy the shirt even if they only get short look on it.

I think the faces should be highlighted somehow because if the shirt were only glanced at, it would just look like kittens.

How can you people attack this... or even make suggestions? It is a great design in every way. The juxtaposition of a "badass" band and kittens. The make up flawlessly depicted as fur patterns. The colors (by not being black and white) help to ad to the subtlety of the design, as in "oh a shirt with kittens... hey wait a second thats awesome." As apposed to "ha kiss n cats, i get it."

I really like this shirt, and the subtle colours are cool the way they are...I agree with whoever mentioned the idea of a brown or olive shirt, as it might up the contrast a bit without making it too obvious in black and white.
The main thing is, the joke will be spotted pretty quickly by fellow KISS fans, and the wearer consequently worshipped, just as I worship Pifman for submitting this shirt. I NEED THE TSHIRT! |
