you could do some fun shit with this illustration but it's just not enough as is... and the type makes it it worse. not sure what to advise.

i really like the idea you're trying (i think) to convey, but the execution doesn't work for me..

if, perhaps you had an image of a monkey/chimp walking, looking back over its own shoulder it might work better, i'm assuming it's a comment on evolution?
