I would like it if the thing he pulled out of the trash was either totally random and inexplicable, or very recognizeable. Currently it looks like he found either a high-heel shoe, or a fish. Good concept. What if he was peeking out of a dumpster holding up his find in triumph? It might be even funnier, because he had to go INTO the trash and really fight to get it!

reminds me of a story that i'm sure you don't care to hear. my friend, walked by a dumpster...peeked in...all sorts of brand new shoes! jumps in to find a pair in his size. cop comes up. whatcha doin'. look at all these brand new shoes. cop-you need to get out of the dumpster. wait...can you find a 10 1/2.

I didn't give him facial features #1 because I didn't want him to take on an identity, #2 because I didn't want him to be more detailed than anything else. Any comments on that?

The smelly fish thing was supposed to be funny! If I had the guy pulling out something that dumpster divers normally go after it wouldn't be as funny as him being so happy about pulling out actual garbage.

I really like the drawing! I think it has just enough detail and all the emotion that is needed. It's super cute! I would like the found object to be something recognizable because, come on, who has never found something awesome in the trash? I once found this velvet chair...

Um... any way, maybe change the pose a bit, too. Even though I get it, it could look like he's throwing the object away. You still get my highest score!

remember that pose that people did back in the mid 90s when they'd get all pumped and make the fist and kind've pull it towards themselvesand go, "YESS!" it'd be awesome if he was doing that with one hand and holding up like, a record or a clock or something with his other hand.
