Stop the scene!
Text says:

"We love robots.
We love skulls.
We love dinosaurs.
We love hearts.
We love sad.
We love bandanas.
We love death.
We love heartbreak.
We love fashion.
WE LOVE FAKE."

Ever heard of live and let live? Who would wear a shirt that denegrates people like this? Maybe if you always look for the absolute worst in people.

I must love robots and hearts, as I'd rather see your shirt be just that little guy in the upper left.

the head on the right is too big.
whats wrong with the scene anyway?

i'm confussed.
the list you made seems to descibe the cliche things about threadless designs, yet threadless is not a symbol of the "scene".
so really your attacking threadless, and that hurts :(
maybe without the text it would be better.
the illustrations alone are interesting/amusing

i think that's great. design is wonderful, i'd wear that just to piss off the cliches that hang out in places i used to like. the "scene" is becomming the gap with more gore....you did forget pirates though. they all fucking love pirates.

I would have thought it's a tongue in cheek poke at Emo.

Emo is pop culture now, so to be down with the Emo style is to be following the crowd and becoming a sheep. Which makes it even more of a paradox.

i love scene, but i love this, hah.
i just think there's a lot going on.
it'd be nice if you made one shirt with the guy and one shirt with the girl, and less text.
because the pictures are worth a thousand words :-)

i agree with eusticity when i say i would definetly buy the shirt starring that robot in the corner

I'd wear it
but I do like some of the tweaking ideas given here, it's a bit busy with the scene kids in it, maybe simplify them?
but all in all a great idea

why is it so wrong to like that stuff?
and why does it look like the person on the left has a mullet or some weird 80's do?

it seems as if you were trying too hard if you wore a shirt like this to say you don't like a group of people.

Uh . . . for clarification the one on the left is female, has a mullet because mullets are "scene", and the one on the right is male.

I re-did the shirt without all the text, so check it out.

i think u should make this into jus a shirt with the text like with all the "we loves" then with the " STOP THE SCENE" under it all or something. that would be cool to. the shirt is great.

"Ever heard of live and let live? Who would wear a shirt that denegrates people like this? Maybe if you always look for the absolute worst in people."

It's a fucking shirt. Critique it, instead of it's creator's views.

Good graphic, though I don't know how well it works on a tshirt.

Hahaha...yeah, this is funny.

I hate the freaking scene. It's so annoying. They all act like they're so nonconformist...which is the biggest joke ever.

Okay, done ranting...I probably wouldn't buy this. It would tick a lot of people off and just isn't very nice. BUT. I like the design, so it gets a 4.

death before dying
that made me laugh
id ditch the stop the scene text only
oh and the i heart dinosaurs
bc i really do heart dinosaurs

i guess this scratches my attempts
at doing a scene ode to Hidden Pictures from Highlites for Kids
satire...

i like.

but the hxc kids and their crews would probably headwalk/floorpunch someone for wearing that.

hahahahahahahahahahhahaha

I think the best part is that I can see the scene kids wearing it 'cause it's IRONIC. I agree that the girl's head is too big, also I think she looks too Joan Jett to be scene; the mullet should be scragglier and nastier. I also agree that the boy's plugs should be bigger. And I still picture sXe boys not looking so wimpy andemo.

DeadlySauce
DeadlySauce on Jun 16 '05
Um yeah. Since when is it "scene" to be sXe??? I'm straight-edge, and even though it's a shirt, I still take that offensively. All the "scene" kids I know drink like fish...soo yeah...

Overall nice concept tho...

i dare somebody to wear that at a show..once i went to a show and all the creepy scene kids were zombiedancing like they were all together and they planned that stupid dance all on their own. i was going to cry.

besides that, the text is too small.. and i'd go with that grey color for the t-shirt instead. and ditch the "STOP THE SCENE" and make "WE LOVE FAKE" bigger.. but this design has appeal too so kill me
heartbreakinaugust
heartbreakinaugust on Jun 17 '05
This borders on funny (and I am "scene" at that, so there), but I think it plays up on TOO MANY stereotypes to really work. It's too busy, too much to look at, and honestly the shirt itself is very scene. You pulled off a style that is very much something us "scene kids" would wear, which actually makes for delicious irony. But why exactly do you want to "stop the scene"? Why not stop the "wiggers" and the "preps" and the "punks" while youre at it? There are so many stereotypes out there that there really isn't a need to create a shirt based on hatred towards one group or style of people.
DeadlySauce also has a really good point -- most scene kids are complete lushes.

Overall, in making an offensive shirt you only did a semi-good job (oh you had so much more potential to offend!) becuase I'm really not that offended.
In making a funny shirt, you did a semi-good job because it has it's moments.
In making a good shirt you failed. Sorry

boots&hearts
boots&hearts on Jun 17 '05
someone has probably already mentioned this, but i dont feel like reading everything. wearing this would just make people think you're trying to be scene, by actually wearing it on your shirt. no one's going to go up to you and read it unless they know you, and if they know you it doesnt matter.

haha, this is so funny..i'd completely wear it, although there a couple things i don't like about the shirt:
a) the girl looks a bit manly
b) i don't really like the t-shirt color
c) a little too cluttered
but other than that, i think it's the funniest shirt on threadless yet

This shirt is soo stupid!

Its a fucking stereotype!
And straight edge kids aren't scene.
i mean, you can be both, but straight edge kids dont love that stuff. especially death.
straight edge is about LIVING pure.
LIVING.

Why would you say "stop the scene" on it..
you cant stop people from dressing the way they want to.
you cant stop people from liking the things they like.
you cant stop people from being who they want to be.
Not to mention this shirt has scene written all over it.
You'd get your ass beat if you were caught wearing this shirt at a show or something.

This shirt is offensive to scene and straight edge kids.
like me.
