Love Me, Love Me Not
About the design
on March 17, 2012
I've always admired GAP's minimalistic and simplistic designs, thus this is a tee design I came up with to embody these two things. I worked with a 0.1 drawing pen for this, and thought the design would work better with just lineworks; hence the minimalism.
This design was also inspired by a poem written by the talented Anna Peters (http://topographe.tumblr.com/)
“I tried to forget
but you grew roots around my ribcage
and sprouted flowers
just below my collarbones.
all day I pluck their petals
but I have not yet ascertained
whether you love me
or notâ€

Would love to see some color blooming from the flowering side of the ribcage, cool stuff though.

Nice illo, would be better with color.

great concept, I love the minimalist feel! I think the neutral scheme sort of goes along with the way the poem is presented; when reading the poem, it doesn't sound like the flowers are incorporated for their colourful nature, but rather their physical structure and their petals. I dig the design! :)

Thank you guys so much for all the feedback :) really appreciate it. And I did consider adding colour to the design but I didn't want to focus so much on colours. This design was genuinely the interpretation from my mind to paper when I read the poem for the first time. But I will definitely consider working with more colours in future :) Once again, thanks!
