I def loose the hand the drawing does not need it. If you can curve her back up ward so there is more shape in her body, her body feels too stiff, more movement more exciting.

About my design
My design illustrates Bulfinch's "Apollo and Daphne" and her attempt to escape the advances of Apollo by turning into a bay laurel tree (with the help of Peneius).
The hand shape in the background is that of Apollo's reaching out just as she transforms.
