About the design

Music is amazing and powerful. It can heighten a mood or snap you out of one. I play keys and ze boyfriend is a drummer. Without music, life would be less.

That's about it! A little insight into me for the Threadless community. =)

Hmmm looks like half my description got cut off when I submitted it. Maybe it was too long. =P

Along with the above description, the Ray Bans, apple, basketball jersey and bare feet were all put there deliberately as bits and pieces that represent me. =D

Hope you like it and please feel free to leave any constructive feedback.

Pigboom

nice concept.

Thanks!! The full description I submitted for it made the details make more sense...but I just realised it's been lopped off for some reason. =\ No matter!!

Why do you put it on green? In my opinion the colors will work better on white or grey... The illustration is good, but I'm sure you can work on the colors better :D

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. There were a few reasons I used green for the background. - I had tried different colours for the background, though the green seemed to be the one I worked with from the start. A few of the colours I'd used for the main illustration had a grey-ish tinge to them (I was going for a softer feel), so using grey for the background as well made the illustration look a bit too flat for my liking. The green seemed to make it pop a bit more. - Green and red are complementary, so the green background worked with the red I'd used as one of the main colours in the design and helped tie the design and the shirt together. - I wanted it to have a summery, almost hippy-ish feel. I'm an Aussie. It's summer here and I love being outdoors in this weather, so I wanted to create something to reflect that. The sunny circles behind the figure helped to anchor the central image, and those stood out and matched better with the green (in my opinion anyway).

Plus there are too many plain shirts in the world. A little extra colour can be a good thing. Hope that answers your question. =)
