I drew that last one as a guestimation on how the bodies would fall after the types of blade strokes that they both delivered. I figured the guy on the left would end up laying on his stomach, because he's extending for the blow to the neck. The guy on the right, would hold up for a split second as his neck is hit and sliced, but the momentum of his attack would bring him back the other way and he'd come to rest on his opponent. Now, I don't know s*** about crime scenes and I don't watch CSI, so it's very much a guess, but I thought it was at least a decent guess. I will admit, though, that after putting it all together, the same thoughts as shared previousely by Wuggles and the badger did cross my mind. Oh well.

Hey, I have the aikido book those images came from. There is some cool stuff in there. Play with the size of the figures, cause they are just line drawings, can be hard to make them the focus.

It clearly looks like the one to the left slices too high and the one to the right SHOULD catch him with a fatal wound.

Perhaps have the fhird showing the samurai from the left attempting to slice, getting cut and falling behind the other (who would still be kneeling, perhaps in the process of returning their katana to its sheeth).

I know no ones going to see this, but:
Magjac, the man on the left is slicing downwards, so it's impossible for him to slice too high. Using his right arm and being directly across from his opponent, the downward strike will more than likely sever his opponents head. At the very least, due to the ferocity of the blow (insert your fellatio joke here) and the weapon used, the opponent would be dead. As in the old west, with 2 equally matched opponents, both are dead.
