four colours and the darker blue is the tee colour.

i worked for ages on this to get it right. there was always something not quite right... but this is as good as it'll get without input, so hit me with it :)

my first Loves Threadless entry btw :P

I see what you're saying about something not being right. I think it's a great illustration on a done to death theme.
What I think your're missing is something left of field, something that'll make it stand out from the other flying saucer designs (not just having the alien smiling)
Maybe you could have him/her flying out of a 'floating' 7/11 with a stash of chocolate bars and the like on the saucers dashboard.
Draw the 7/11 silloette style to deal with the colour restrictions.
Then I think you'd have a great tee.
I love the use of colour.... just add a 7/11 :)

lol, didn't see those.
Yeah fluffy dice would be great.
How about a bonnet scoop and/or rear spoiler :)

my housemate mentioned adding a spoiler. while i want it to be a pretty funky saucer, i don't want to add one for two reasons: i still want it to be recognisable as a saucer, and i don't want to make a chav/townie/ratboy/*insert name here* type saucer. while it's hard to lower the suspension on a saucer to make it even worse, i don't think this needs to be a sports model :P

Nice job on making it look like 5 colors. Great illustration too.

OH... I think what's "not quite right" is the legs of the saucer. The left one should be a little 'more' left so as to look like the front-middle leg that it is. Also, I think the key spot is the 'middle' leg. The one that's supposed to be in perspective. It should be 'shortened' a little more so as to make it look like it's further in the back and thusly not as long as the other two. Also scale the size of it down just a hair. That should help define more of the dimension and feel that the leg is in the back. Other wise... what I think might be the "not quite right" feeling about this picture is that the legs just look like they wouldn't be able to support the saucer let alone land correctly. I hope that helps... that's what I see. Maybe I'm wrong. Great work otherwise though. Keep it up!

I really like it...but I'm having problems with the white ellipse that separates the top from the bottom...it's not quite round enough and it's making the saucer look kinda weird. Maybe it's just me...all that said, I still give it a 5.

I think it's the alien that's not right. Everything else is so defined and clear, the alien is sort of this shapeless mass. Maybe work on him a little more
