They told us to be good. They told us to use our words. Well sometimes words feel like bullets and I've never had to reload.



This is my first submission. I drew it with my mouse. There are three shades of grey, and one shade of white. It's a 1911 style gun for those who care.



I hope you guys like it. Never be ashamed to bring a thesaurus to a gunfight.

it could be cleaned up alittle better, and maybe loose the duel text, but other wise your on the right track.

a fine gun, but with the muzzle shaded like that, it looks like it needs to be compensated, and the clip appears missing. but i like the illustration. it could be more fun on a black tee, and without the duel or even the background blocks seem unessassary. overal, i like it

I appreciate the comments guys. I'm honestly not too familiar with the handgun terminology. Does compensation refer to the ribbing you see near the muzzle of the gun? As far as the 'duel' text goes, I could remove it- though I'd like to replace it with something else if I did. The asymmetrical shape of the gun leaves me wanting to fill the "gap" directly underneath the barrel--- to keep everything in balance.



Any suggestions?



I'll give it a shot on black too, perhaps. The only reason I didn't before was I had assumed that the shirt color itself counted as one of the four unique colors, so (rather than go with the much-hated heather grey) I chose a white base shirt.

I'd buy it, but I'd only wear it every month or so.

This shirt is absolutely one of the greatest I have ever seen. I would DEFINITELY buy this. Too cool. I like it JUST the way it is. Don't take away the duel text. It makes it that much better; really evens out the picture and counter-weights it aesthetically. Again, fantastic job.

I have mixed feelings about this. I think the design is incredible. But, I would like to see the "use your words" text a bit larger/more clear. I guess I just wouldn't want to walk around with a gun on my shirt that no one outside of 2 feet away would "get". Again, nice design. I'd buy and wear it.

The people who matter should be within two feet of you anyways. And they'll be like, "why is that gun... oh!" and you'll say "yep" and wink at them all crafty-like ;)

I like the design quite a bit, but I agree with others' comments of needing greater contrast, and also getting rid of "duel."

Next time, it might be better to let the design do the talking.

It's a corny cliche shirt with a quasi-cult-film design. What do you expect? Get off your high horse. If you don't like the shirt, that's one thing, but as far as I know we aren't rating eachother's comments pages. Then again, you probably fished for the accented 'e' to place in the word cliche longer than you looked at my design anyway.

Ah, but you had an easy reference to copy from. I can do it too. "cliché ". Coming up with it from scratch takes a lot more... 'dedication' I guess.

I like it a lot, although, I don't like the gun's background, or the lettering placement.

i like the semi-messiness and no, the shirt colour doesn't count as one of your 4. i think i'd buy this. i'm all about vocabulary.

Lose the duel and I like it

I like the use your word... when Im in conflict I use words to solve it...like carpet bombing, nuclear strike, and tamahawk missle.
