I'm not at all happy with the way the transition to shirt looks on the small mockup. I may try to do a different trransition and post a bigger detail. Otherwise I also think this would make a cool cd cover and work as a reference to the iconic (and eponymous) Molly Hatchet album cover from the 70's with Frazetta's Death Dealer.

As a poster, I think the background looks cool. As a t-shirt, I think the main graphic is strong enough to stand on its own (it's awesome) . I hope you don't mind but I did a quick mock-up to illustrate what I mean here
Anyway, I really like it. Very nice colours and shapes you got going on there! |

Hey, opifan64. I don't mind at all. I agree--it's can stand alone and looks good on that charcoal t-shirt mock up.. Thanks for showing that.

I don't think the background is too great on a shirt, mostly because of the transition, but the main graphic does look awesome on its own like in opifan64's mock-up

don't have a problem with the shirt background AS LONG AS the illustration is as large as possible
and maybe keep the lower edge far down, too |

I like the plain charcoal background, too. I laughed out loud. Really nice juxtaposition of happy pony and menacing death.

I like that description Dreamscaper8, "mixes cute and evil in the best way."
also like the juxt of "happy pony and menacing death" Mommyme. Thanks to everybody for the votes and the comments. |

I really like this one. Couldn't the shirt just be the dark blue color of the upper background and save a lot of ink?
