I really reallly like this design, but the boots bother me... I dont know what it is about them, but they just dont seem right. Turqoise, Khaki or Pink. It doesnt show up on chocolate.

i agree that the boots need to be redone. keep the design on lighter colors. stay away from the yellow & gold nonsense, they're obnoxious (& so is khaki, but that's mostly because every other design is on f***ing khaki)

slaterock on Apr 11 '05 yeah, i didn't pick the shirt colors for a particular reason. I thought the design could hold its own on about any color shirt. Thanks for the comments. I think the boots should have had more detail.. maybe that's it?

Personally, I think more and more people are
listing every color as a potential for their shirt, but the shirt color itself (I think anyway) Is a big part of the design, and should be more definative. And i know that all the colors aren't listed there, but 12 colors may be a bit excessive, just my opinion. Like, if the illustration is trying to convey a mood, which i think yours definatly does/is, shouldn't the overall design, including shirt color work towords that idea? |

slaterock on Apr 11 '05 Yeah, I do see your point to an extent. I used to work for a screen printing company, and we always offered light on dark, dark on light designs. I guess I was under the assumption that people like choices, and that's why I wanted a variety of colors for the tee. I guess I see the design as a separate entity than the shirt itself, the shirt just being the vehicle for the design. Thanks for the feedback though.

Yeah...iSaidIt, you do have a point, but in many submissions people say things like 'I'd buy that..if it weren't on white' and such, and this gives the Threadless populace the options they desire, and no need for the artist to be frustrated by not getting through due to bad colour choice on their part.
It's very nice, Light Blue and Khaki entice me.. |

I like the boots myself, it just seems like his head is turned at an odd angle i dont know, maybe thats just me, but the neck head is the onlything i dont care for
