This idea just popped into my head just before I was going to bed. Though it didn\\\'t come out as it did in my head, I still think it turned out pretty good, despite my poor skills with Illustrator.

I think this is hilarious. I laughed out loud, a lot. Beef up your Illustrator skills some, and I think it would be a great design too! Nice work.

It's a totally funny concept, but as tammyleino has suggested, the illustration could use a lot of help. The main issue I have is the sun. It's completely unnecessary without adding any real interest to the design.

I kind of felt the sun kind of filled up the empty space. I agree that it's ugly though :p any ideas? A friend of mine also suggested to make the black lines thicker, which I did. And it looked better. Alså I edited the text into "sometimes the voice in my head can be a real jerk..." even though I wanted to not make it so obvious which voice he's talking about. The biggest issue was that people didn't quite get it. One friend acctually thought he was the victim of a late night party prank. :p (He said it was the sun that made him think this was the day after a party night).. But anyways.. Any specific suggestions in how to improve this is greatly accepted :)

I like the sun too, Teioch. I agree that it fills up the empty space. It's nice. Thicker lines might do the job a little better on the person, and also I think it would look nice to have the text hand-written instead of typed. The figure kind of has a clip-art feel to him, and with the typed text, it adds to that "created in MS Word's crappy draw program" feel. Keep practicing with Illustrator, and don't be too eager to resubmit. I think you've got a cool idea here - you just need to beef up those skills!

For people who don't get it, here's my take on it. The "voice" in his head told him to run his pants up the flag pole - what a jerk. You would expect the voices in your head to be on your side, but this poor guy has found that they're not always. If you don't get it, you may be one of the sane people out there that don't have voices in your head, or maybe you have just never acted on them ...

what? are there sane people in the world? holy crap! though.. that does explain a clouple of things.. :)

Anyways. Thank's for pointers. I've got a couple of ideas now on how to make things look a little more "proffesional". Maye a fatigued look would do good. I'm feel like there's some photoshop work coming up :) and yay for that! Photoshop is my area of expertise. (my job is a graphics designer, but my area of work lies mostly around photoshop). :)

my advice to you Teioch would be of course to spend a lot of time in Illustrator, and also ,don't over think your design with four comments on your own submission. Just read the rest of our comments and take from that.

good idea, i guess im the only person who has a problem with the text. its sooo, arial, bold, 14pt font-ful. why buy it in a shirt when i can type it up on aim?
