you're gonna get murdered for putting text in there, though.

yeah, tight illustration, but the overall visual goodness is cut in half by that huge text. I think what you should do is keep the text but actually make it into a record visually rather than just hinting at it, that would be really sweet and a really solid way to integrate the text. Just my opinion though.

I didn't even realize that was a record in the back. I thought it was just a circle background...

emm...perhaps you guys are right ...perhaps the figure itself should be clearer with the text back far or not even there...
i did try to surface some blue note records memorabillia perhaps too fast too bad...
but that's the think it's supposed to resemble a record...

i love it, I'd just center the graphic rather than making it a 'pocket' style graphic. I love the type, people on this site seem to hate type, but it works to me.
