Just trying to show that I get ideas from threadless submitions and the design industry... might as well use the computer arts logo to represent that... They love threadless might as well give a little love back to em.

I like how on the lastest illustration special they have an "EXCLUSIVE COMPETITION" to win money for a tshirt design.... Anyway, yeah...lose the logos. |

I feel like the guys expression represents him being caught in the act, very fitting. I personally liked how you chose objects that have been run into the ground, the skull, mariner's star and dripping hearts. You see these things so much, this is what's being "stolen" again and again. i think your execution was pretty on.

i like his expression, its all good, but i agree take away the logos and add some more general stuff, like the word emo

Logos should be there simply because this is a competition for COMPUTER ARTS. Now lets say you owned a company, put up money for a competition, and then picked a shirt to win, wouldn't you want your business name on it? I think so . Its called advertising, idiots. I say keep the logos. Good work. Half of the designs I have seen on here dont even apply to this competition. 5

out of ALL these submissions for '...designer blues', i think this should win. all the rest are pretty crappy, don't have any point to them, or are useless to the theme. however, this pretty much says it all. using logos in this project is kind of a must, otherwise it would be hard to convey the idea. i personally would not buy it (the contest theme just isn't my style), but i will definitely give you a 5 & $.

i like the concept but, the execution, he should look more like a designer... the "shaggy" hair, the jean jacket... plus, i don't know if he'd even need to be a burglar... maybe keep the "eyemask".. i like the logos there too, it happens all the time... there's people idea hunting righ now....

i didn't think of him as caught in the act - he looks sad and remorseful to me. especially the eyebrows.
maybe a shocked mouth? i say the logos detract too. and maybe make him really emo? ^^;;; |
