I made a t-shirt with this stencil and it looks really awesome... if you want to see a (crappy) photo of me wearing it, go here

and if you want to read a poem about the Tree Squid in all its magesty, here you go....

The Tale of the Tree Squid

(Meant to be read in a pirate-like fashion.)

I'll tell ye a tale, a tale I'll tell,

'Bout a time not long ago.

Not a tale of a whale, but a WHALE of a tale,

'Bout a BEAST from deep below.

The quickest way to Hell, they say,

Is through the deep black sea.

And that is where the Beast came from,

And this be a true story.

A hundred years ago they say,

It was first seen by man,

The fools! They tried to kill the thing

But onto shore it ran.

Its tentacles, they numbered ten.

Its teeth were sharp as knives.

Its flesh was black and slick and foul,

The men ran for their lives.

The creature had but one red eye,

And a hook topped one black limb

Still it slithered with such frightening speed,

The outlook seemed quite grim.

The beast did raise its silver hook,

And stared down at its prey

The men recoiled in horror,

Trapped to their dismay.

They watched its sharp jaws open,

Stared into its one red eye;

The Beast did rear its head back.

And cried in triumph, “AYE’S A BYE!!!”

With that, the Beast did vanish

Into the jungle deep,

Swimming through the leaves and branches,

Destined to climb and creep.

The men fled from the jungle,

Their lesson had been learned,

And in the trees the beast did stay,

To the ocean, never returned.

And here the Beast doth linger,

In darkest glade and wood.

Just like the forests you know.

I’d avoid them if I could.

For the Beast comes out of hiding

Once or twice a year.

Should he find you alone at night,

You’ll have much to fear.

He’ll slide down from the darkness,

And no-matter how hard you try,

He’ll hold you in his captive

Till he bellows, “AYE’S A BYE!”
