When I submitted this one it was the first "thinking of ideas in the shower" entry... the toilet is already taken but I'm amazed nobody has taken the shower. I come up with 80% of my ideas there. The rest are conceived in class. Anyway, I claim the honor of first shower as designer's block-breaker. Anyway, this is supposed to depict some guy sitting in the shower, thinking... what to design? A fire extinguisher? A horse? A cheeseburger? Weird swirly ribbon things? Sparkles? A race car? A bottle of vodka? Crayons? Headphones?? ARRGH! Anyway, I am just trying to make a cool illustration of the shower creative process. I know the whole object/sparkle montage thing isn't exactly "new", but nobody can say it doesn't sell...

I enjoy this one because I can really relate to it. I have sat in long showers thinking and problem solving. It usually helps me come up with ideas. I suggest lighting candles and putting a washcloth over your eyes. This illustrates my creative meditation.

I do like the idea, but I did not understand that the stuff on the right was his thoughts until I read the comments. I do not know how to make that more obvious, but I just wanted to let you know. I like the idea, too.

I originally was going to have a cartoon thought bubble coming out with all kinds of random crap in it- sort of like what's there now, only in a cartoon thought bubble- but then I decided that

A) that looks mostly cheesy and bad, from a design standpoint

B) threadless users are smart enough to see what's going on without it

C) the objects have a clear progression upward from his head, illustrating their 'thought' existence anyway... I know that not everyone agrees with these points, but I took the side of looks rather than clarity this time.

great design.. it looks brilliant.

though it seems rather.. *spreads self all over shirt*.. i dunno what word to use.. it just feels sprawled. it looks great, it really does, but its just a lot.

and i really like the solidarity of the spray.. it gives it a more full, absorbing, imaginative effect.

only thing i'm not too sure about is the curtain. there's just something about it that's kinna weird.

I LOVE the idea of this shirt. I always sit and think in the shower, which is weird, but it makes thinking easier. I agree with mellowbonsai, but I think if you just change that it will look much much better and I would give it 5+$. Keep on trying, Kemmler!

Conceptually, this is an okay idea, but the execution needs work. The figure's pose is stiff...I don't know about you, but I find it very uncomfortable to sit back like that without support for any length of time. The guy's hand is relaxed, but his head is in a very upright and alert position relative to the chest. It makes the body language confused...no doubt we are to assume he's leaning agianst a wall, but you didn't give any suggestion of that so it doesn't read clearly.



The thoughts are okay, but they seem to float off to the right which throws the balance of the design off. It might've been more interesting if the shapes tied into the steam of the shower or some other link was found. I don't see creative process, I see daydreaming and nothing else.

i think it is really cool, but, to be honest, i wouldn't buy this shirt

move the image down into the lower right side of the shirt and it would flow much better
