About my design

I'm guessing Escher rip-offs have been done to death here, but I thought this would make a nice trippy tee.
Couldn't decide on framing the pattern in a square or fish shape, hence the animation.

there were some artists that did it before Escher but his obsession with unusual visuals perfected this specific pattern method, If youre going to rip-off then try to do better than the original or take an unusual approach.

so no, this is a bit dull and poor execution, good you mentioned Escher but maybe research his work deeper if it fascinates you.

i like the fish shape, but on the bright shirt it might be better with a black outline, and maybe slightly thinner.

I think that this would make a lot of people stare at my chest as I walk by.

Not a direct rip, the fish are my own.
Still pretty rushed though.

By the by, what's the deal with copyrighted material?
They sell the Ronald McDonald piss-take tee here, surely Ron's as big a corporate logo as you can get.

I think it would look best with the fix outline rather than just the plain ole box

I'm pretty sure escher rip-offs are public domain. No copyright worries. The worry is that escher drew his stuff by hand and you have merely copied and pasted. Or so it appears to me. The beauty of escher is that each fish was an individual in a school of fish. This is like escher meets warhol.

It looks good though, definitely better with the fish outline, I honestly don't know why you would consider a square. Maybe eliminate the white border and replace it with a thin black line or no border at all.

The beauty of Escher was he had ORIGINAL THOUGHTS
His own ideas
Drew is own drawings
Escher did not "rip" anyone!

*Ugh*
I know Escher had his own ORIGINAL THOUGHTS Tom,
hence my original post.

By the by, M.C. wasn't the first tessellation artist either.

Again Tom, read my original post.

By that I mean the one at the very top, the one where I acknowledge that my design is an Escher rip-off but I think it'd be nice as a tee.

That one.

neither shape - the fish with the awkward, bold outline, nor the box.
