I think you will agree that this only works on dark colors, and mostly black, although I guess a case could be made for some lighter blues, which is why I included it there, but really, it's meant for black or other dark colors. Anyway, this is just supposed to be about imagination and seeing what isn't there... the desktop as moon surface... oh well. Well, if anyone has some suggestions I can change it. This is from a 3d model I made.

Hah very smart indeed, it kinda suffers the standard 3d celshading problems, lack of definition, too smooth and no detail where it would be helpful for the design. But now it kinda looks like the surface with object is hoovering over the surface where the lamp is standing on which i would fix first. Then maybe try to improve the lamp design and its coloring.
