About my design
by craeon
My first attempt at vector graphics, and shirt design. A tree, with it\'s roots crawling over a human heart.

The smaller roots and leaves aren't supposed to appear muddied and thick as it does on the template. I didn't resize the image correctly onto the flash template. Take a look at the larger image.

I submitted this before I noticed people harbored a strong dislike for trees and hearts.

craeon - re: people harboring a strong dislike for trees and hearts.

Actually, I think most of us LIKE trees and hearts. They're beautiful elements. But, them and Pandas/Polar Bears appear in every other Threadless shirt. Heh, so if you're gonna use those elements, they gotta be very, very original.

Yours is decent, I'd even take it further and have the root system all growing into/out of the heart.

Thanks for not using drips.

MadZax - Thanks for the decent comment. I also like your suggestion of how to improve the design. I was looking at it a few times myself, and I was also thinking about having the roots do more with the heart.

There may be second version to this.

i really like this drawing, but something like this has been printed already. while this is in many ways unique, the two main elements-- the tree and heart-- are shared between the two shirts.
